Salary Package: From $76,908 - $87,443 (HEW Level 5), plus 17% superannuation and annual leave loadingAppointment Type: Full time, 1-year fixed term contract
Location: Macquarie University, Wallumattagal Campus, Dharug land, North Ryde
THE ROLE
The Graduate Research Administrator supports the Strategic Programs team in the Graduate Research Academy at Macquarie University.
Key responsibilities include:
Provide administrative support for Higher Degree Research projects, program development and promotional activities, workshops, inbound and outbound delegations.
Coordinate in person and online events and administer attendance surveys.
Maintain and update web content, publication content.
Monitor and maintain dashboards and records in various university systems, review data for accuracy and reporting purposes
Receive resolve and escalate enquiries as required.
Prepare meeting agendas and minutes, track action items.
Contribute to the design, development, and implementation of improvements to administrative systems, processes and procedures. Create process maps and documentation.
Liaise with a variety of stakeholders, such as international and domestic universities and for-profit and not-for-profit organisations.
Comply with relevant EEO an WHS regulations
Perform any other duties as required and appropriate for this classification

Selection Criteria
Required:
A degree in a relevant field or combination of relevant experience and/or education/training
Strong interpersonal, verbal, and written communication skills, including the ability to draft correspondence, prepare PowerPoint presentations and communicate professionally and effectively with a broad range of people from diverse backgrounds
Excellent organisational and time management skills including the ability to prioritise work to meet tight deadlines and balance a wide range of conflicting demands
Experience in coordinating projects and /or events, including coordination of multiple activities concurrently
Experience in desktop publishing and maintaining website content
Excellent computing skills with a good working knowledge of the Microsoft suite of programs such as WORD, PowerPoint, Outlook.
Knowledge of Excel, VLookup, pivot table, if-then data tool functions
Use of student information management systems
Desirable:
Experience in use of Salesforce
Knowledge of Higher Degree Research Policies, systems, processes and procedures
Understanding of the other areas of the University
Work hours may vary from time to time to accommodate business needs
