About the Role

We are currently seeking a results driven and energetic Graduate Software Engineer to join our dedicated Technology and Solutions team located at our NSW Head Office based in Tomago on a 24 month fixed term contract. Reporting to the Technology and Solutions Manager – NSW, you will be responsible for assisting team members with the design, development and implementation of bespoke software solutions.

Your day-to-day responsibilities will include:

  • Creation of software across multiple different technology stacks (JS, HTML, SQL, Node.js)
  • Creation of draft software design specifications
  • Produce interface mock-ups
  • Optimization & maintenance of current solutions in production
  • Create and design verification plans, test procedures and reports

What we’re looking for

As the successful candidate you will possess the following skills:

Essential criteria:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or Software Engineering
  • Comprehensive, theory-based understanding of software engineering fundamentals
  • Excellent organisational skills, with the ability to manage fluctuating workloads and conflicting priorities to achieve tight deadlines
  • Excellent communication skills (verbal, written and interpersonal) with the ability to effectively liaise at a high level with customers and a diverse range of interdepartmental team members
  • Ability to work well autonomously and within a team

Desirable criteria:

  • Practical knowledge of:
    • HTML
    • SQL
    • Javascript
    • GIT Version Control
    • Boostrap & Material Design Frameworks
    • Node.js
