About the Role
We are currently seeking a results driven and energetic Graduate Software Engineer to join our dedicated Technology and Solutions team located at our NSW Head Office based in Tomago on a 24 month fixed term contract. Reporting to the Technology and Solutions Manager – NSW, you will be responsible for assisting team members with the design, development and implementation of bespoke software solutions.
Your day-to-day responsibilities will include:
- Creation of software across multiple different technology stacks (JS, HTML, SQL, Node.js)
- Creation of draft software design specifications
- Produce interface mock-ups
- Optimization & maintenance of current solutions in production
- Create and design verification plans, test procedures and reports
What we’re looking for
As the successful candidate you will possess the following skills:
Essential criteria:
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or Software Engineering
- Comprehensive, theory-based understanding of software engineering fundamentals
- Excellent organisational skills, with the ability to manage fluctuating workloads and conflicting priorities to achieve tight deadlines
- Excellent communication skills (verbal, written and interpersonal) with the ability to effectively liaise at a high level with customers and a diverse range of interdepartmental team members
- Ability to work well autonomously and within a team
Desirable criteria:
- Practical knowledge of:
- HTML
- SQL
- Javascript
- GIT Version Control
- Boostrap & Material Design Frameworks
- Node.js
