We are seeking a skilled Technical Lead Engineer to join our dynamic team and lead the charge in technical excellence. Reporting directly to the Engineering Manager, the Technical Lead Engineer plays a dual role, combining individual technical expertise with team leadership responsibilities. As a technical expert, you will guide and mentor team members, solve intricate technical challenges, and contribute to the development of high-quality, scalable software products. Additionally, you will lead the team in aligning technical solutions with business objectives and reducing technical debt.
Key Responsibilities:- Manage technical debt backlog and conduct risk assessments
- Drive technical vision and roadmap alignment with business goals
- Assess and adopt new technologies
- Ensure quality and security practices meet outcomes
- Mentor and onboard engineers
- Lead incident response and mitigation efforts
- Foster collaboration and consistency in technical solutions and processes
Key Performance Indicators- Contribution to product milestones and team success
- Implementation of best practices and processes
- Maintenance of secure, stable, and cost-effective infrastructure
- Understanding and implementation of product requirements
Desired Skills and Experience- Bachelor's degree in Information Technology, Computer Engineering, Computer Science, or equivalent experience
- 3-5 years of experience with agile/scrum methodology
- Advanced knowledge of backend technologies such as PHP or Node
- Advanced knowledge of relational database technologies such as MySQL/PostgreSQL
- Experience working with front end technologies such as React
- Experience working with NoSQL databases such as DynamoDB
- Familiarity with AWS and/or Google Cloud
- Strong understanding of object-oriented programming
- Ability to write clean, maintainable code following SOLID Principles
- Experience with automated testing and unit tests
- Proficiency in code versioning tools such as GIT
