Job description

Quantum Comms are a well-established company specialising in Rigging, Civils, Comms, EWP and plant hire with a long history of delivering complex projects in the Telecommunication Field. Currently based in Victoria with presence in Queensland, with the ability to service Clients Australia wide. We have a highly skilled team with over 40 staff members.

About the Job

Due to continuing growth, we are seeking to employee a Graduate Telecommunication Field Engineer, to join our team.

  • Field based
  • Permanent, full-time position
  • Be available to work Monday to Friday and at times over the weekend
  • Depot located in Narangba QLD
  • Working within Brisbane metro and regionally in QLD and across Australia
  • Must be able to travel when required with notice

About You

  • Completion of a Bachelor of Telecommunications Engineering or similar
  • Eager and willing to learn
  • Great communication skills
  • Personable and presentable
  • Organised and able to meet deadlines
  • Able to work under pressure
  • Able to take direction and work as a team
  • Excellent eye for detail
  • Computer literate

Duties and Tasks 

  • Make Sure that work at the site is being done as per approved drawings.
  • Assist in resolving the issues related to projects and consult the project manager when required.
  • Reviewing and Interpreting Engineering Drawing and completing site-based Quality Assurance documentation.
  • Ensure all the project related documents is available on-sites.
  • Monitor and recommend resources to assigned projects to ensure their time and specifications.
  • Report the issue to the HSE Officer to officially implement corrective preventive actions.
  • Developing the HOPS, once the site is finished and reporting to the client.
  • Performing the call test to acknowledge the speed of the site.
  • Responsible for the safety of yourself and others around you, please be diligent and observant to all safety procedures.
  • responsibility to report any misuse or misconduct that you witness that may or may not affect safety and OH&S procedures to your employer.
  • Ensure that all site safety paperwork and reports are submitted to management daily for review and monitoring, including but not limited to the use the fast field app.
  • Follow Quality System procedure and safety practices.
  • Be aware of the current legislation and Obligations of Quantum Comms in the area of OHS.

Tickets/Licenses

  • Australian driver's license (desirable)
  • White card (desirable)
