Our client works with developers and government organisations to continually achieve approvals for significant and challenging projects. Additionally, they prepare strategic plans and urban designs for projects across Australia, including meaningful rural projects.
The Opportunity
Are you a recent graduate looking for an opportunity to fast-track your development within the Urban Planning sector?
If yes, then this structured career path may be for you. Initially including a two-year graduate training program followed by promotion to other opportunities within the organisation to suit your passions and ambitions.
This is an opportunity to receive training by leaders in the industry and to work on interesting and diverse projects. In most graduate roles, you’ll be stuck doing solely DA work but with this opportunity you will be involved in strategic planning, master plan work and community liaison.
You will also be working in a multidisciplinary environment, alongside Urban Designers and Landscape Architects, learning from all of them. You will have the opportunity to progress your career in a more diverse and empowering environment.
The Role
Your key tasks will include, but not limited to:
- Preparing planning reports and development application
- High standard of urban planning research, assisting with preparation of fee proposals and tenders
- Well organised all-rounder, able to contribute to other projects as required e.g. community engagement and landscape projects
- Articulate professional, capable of writing and editing accurate and persuasive reports, as well as supporting presentations, maps, graphics etc. using appropriate software (Word, PowerPoint, Adobe InDesign, Sketchup, GIS)
