Band 2 - Salary Range $63,812 to $65,180 per annum + 11% Super + RDO
Salary offered will depend on level of skills and experience.

The Opportunity
Councils Waste and Cleaning Operations Team have an exciting opportunity for an experienced candidate to join us at Melton City Council.
Predominantly a field-based role, the successful candidate will perform a range of graffiti removal, and other services across the municipality for the purpose of maintaining community assets and public realm areas. As a support to the broader in-house team, the role will also carry out emergency, reactive and scheduled tasks and assist the team with implementing new initiatives and programs.
Key Responsibilities

• Perform a range of reactive and proactive cleansing, graffiti removal, litter collection and waste management tasks in accordance with general guidelines, practices, procedures, and standards.
• Observe day to day resource allocations (i.e. consumables, equipment, PPE, fleet and other resources) and proactively arrange replacements, replenishments and repairs as required to ensure service continuity.
• Inspect public realm areas to ensure Graffiti response and other Waste and Cleaning Operations services are delivered in a timely manner or scheduled in accordance with service unit response times.
• Report illegally dumped rubbish, litter and other unsightly matters (includes graffiti on private property) to the supervisor in a timely manner to ensure appropriate follow up and action.

About you
To be successful in this role you will have the following:

• Relevant on the job training and experience in painting and graffiti removal techniques including the application and use of paint, equipment, and chemicals.
• Experienced in cleaning and is competent in the use of powered equipment.
• Experienced in the use, storage, and application of chemicals, with experience in the use of chemicals for graffiti removal works and a range of cleansing works within community assets.
• Current Victorian Light Rigid (LR) Drivers Licence.
