Greenkeeper or Experienced Groundsperson

Wolston Park Golf Club is located on the Brisbane River at Wacol, only 20 minutes from the Brisbane CBD. 

We are seeking to employ a Greenkeeper or Experienced Groundsperson to join our course maintenance team.

• Minimum 3 year’s experience working on a golf course.
• Hold a current driver's license.
• Experience and knowledge in preparing quality golf course playing surfaces.
• Current sprayers licence or equivalent for the application of chemicals would be an advantage.
• Competency in the use and maintenance of specialised golf course equipment.
• Chainsaw licence would be an advantage.
• Experience and knowledge in golf course renovation programs and practices.
• Experience in irrigation servicing and repairs would be an advantage.
• Experience in managing work health and safety practices.
• Current first aid certificate would be an advantage.
• Exceptional eye for detail across all facets of golf course management.
• Some mechanical experience would be an advantage.  

• Reporting to the Golf Course Superintendent
• Motivation of staff and leading by example.
• Enthusiastic and self-motivated.
• Be hard working and be physically fit for manual work.
• Work well autonomously and as part of a team in a prompt and professional manner.
• Have good communication skills and attention to detail.
• Punctual and willing to learn new tasks.
• Adhere to WHS policies and procedures.
• Support management and fellow employees.

The position is on a full-time basis and rostered weekend work will be required.
