AddressDaly’s IGA Group is currently seeking a motivated full time Grocery Manager located at Heywood who can manage and coordinate the day to day operations of the Grocery Department while also having a comprehensive knowledge of overall store operations to step in as an assistant to the Store Manager.
Duties & Responsibilities:
Reporting to the Store Manager, Group Operations Manager and Directors, your role will include but not limited to the following:
- Day to day operations of the Grocery Department in all areas
- Oversee ordering and stock control using our automatic ordering systems for both warehouse and direct suppliers
- Inventory management with a focus on investment buying
- Drive sales with merchandising excellence & maximize sales opportunities
- Compliance to marketing campaigns & supplier agreements
- Maintain category planograms and layouts and ranging compliance
- Continually review and manage product ranging
- Develop and maintain a positive team orientated culture
- Maintain a safe and hygienic environment for our customers and team
Skills & Experience:
To succeed in this role, you must have a customer first mentality, love teamwork and have a genuine passion for retail. Experience is preferred however full training can be provided for the right candidate to succeed in this role for a long term career opportunity. You will enjoy working in fast paced hands on role and be capable of the physical requirements of the role including handling full cartons and pallets of stock in addition to:
- Willing to work and reliable
- Genuine passion for food and retail
- Experience in a management or leadership position highly regarded however opportunities are available for the right person passionate to further their retail career.
- Willingness to work across a seven-day roster which can include weekends and public holidays in line with operational requirements of the business.
- Moderate IT literacy including Microsoft Office, internet & email.
- Experience with SmartRetail Point of Sale Software or other stock control systems highly regarded.
