Your Role
As a Ground Crew member in the Air Force, you’ll be responsible for the efficient and effective movement of personnel and materiel to support ADF activities, operations, and exercises. You’ll use specialist equipment and logistics management skills to ensure the Air Force is well-supplied, and on the move.
Your duties may include:
- Receiving, storing, and issuing bulk fuel.
- Conducting air terminal operations including the movement of passengers and cargo on Air Force or visiting aircraft.
- Driving standard Service vehicles (and special purpose vehicles after appropriate training).
- Operating forklifts in the loading and unloading of transport vehicles and aircraft.
- Refuelling Air Force and visiting aircraft.
- Performing runway sweeper operations and driver training and testing.

Salary
Upon completion of initial military and employment training, you will enjoy a salary package starting from $71,750.
Location
Following training, you may be posted to one of the major Air Force bases around Australia, such as RAAF Base Amberley, Williamtown, or Edinburgh.

For this role, you must be at least 17 at the time of enlistment, an Australian Citizen, and have passed Year 10 with Maths and English as mandatory subjects.
