An exciting opportunity now exists within our group for a talented individual to join our National Head Office in Kedron and assist with the development of our successful dealership in the position of Group Accountant. Reporting to the Chief Financial Officer and Group Financial Controller, the Group Accountant’s duties will be varied. Duties will include, but are not limited to:
- General ledger account reconciliations;
- Assistance with annual financial audits;
- Fixed assets registers;
- Management and BI reporting;
- Assistance with workflow automation development;
- Assistance with BAS, FBT and Income Tax return preparation;
- Preparation of financial reports;
- Company Secretarial assistance;
- Management of accounting policy;
- Accounting for head office companies;
The successful applicant must:
- Have advanced skills in Microsoft Excel;
- Have excellent communication skills;
- Have very good knowledge of accounting and taxation principles;
- Possess attention to detail;
- Have the ability to manage workflow whilst adhering to deadlines;
- Have a strong work ethic;
- Be a team player –able to build rapport with peers and management.
Ideally, the successful applicant will have experience in a similar role either within the motor industry or an accounting firm. The applicant is accounting degree qualified and hold (or near completed) a post-graduate qualification in accounting.
