Heatherbrae's Pies is a family owned bakery group, making & baking and serving Premium Quality fresh hot pies and other delicacies through four bakeries in three locations; Heatherbrae, Sutton Forest and Ourimbah plus Upstairs Gluten Free.
An opportunity exists to replace the retiring Mrs "Heatherbrae's" as the Group Accountant.
Heatherbrae's Pies maintain outstanding fast food service, providing traditional Australian convenient food cuisine (coffee, pies, sides and cakes) to local and the travelling public, for take away or sit down in large attractive dining areas.
All pies and pastries are made fresh at each of the premises by qualified pastry chefs. All fare is sold across Heatherbrae's Pies own counters.
The Group Office is located at the Ourimbah bakery.
Heatherbrae's Pies is seeking a highly motivated and skilled professional to perform the accounting role, manage the office and assist other group staff to achieve the business objectives.
Position:
As Group Accountant you will perform all aspects of the accounting role for each of the bakeries. You will manage the Group Office and be able to contribute to the management and objective formulation of the business.
The position reports to the Directors and will work closely with the Group Customer Service Operations Manager and the Group Bakery Operations Manager.
Responsibilities:
Accounting Financial
- Perform daily banking reconciliations.
- Perform account payable and payment run.
- Process weekly payroll and report weekly payroll results.
Compliance & Auditing
- Perform all authority submissions incl, GST, BAS, Payroll Tax etc.
Cost Management
- Maintain costs and ingredients register and perform & update product costings / margins.
- Manage tendering of ingredient suppliers.
Reporting
- Report Results, Weekly payroll, Monthly and Quarterly P&L, assist daily sales reporting.
- Year end reporting.
Office Administration
- Marketing assistance, Social media responding, Web page updates, Liase with suppliers of marketing material.
- Assist team with HR requirement.
- Maintenance of IT systems, input pricing and POS reporting.
Experience and Qualifications
- Solid experience in accounting ideally in food service or consumables.
- CA/CPA qualified with 3 years plus experience.
- Ability to master MYOB Account Right.
- Competency in EXCEL and other Microsoft Office programs.
- Excellent organisational skills.
- Excellent communication skills.
- Good IT skills.
- Ability to prioritise and multitask.
- Excellent attention to detail.
