Group Reconciliation Officer

The products we build are used by millions of people around the world and you'll see their logos on an EPL team, the UFC, advocated by e-gamers and in a number of other sporting places.

The last 2 years have been huge for us, we have grown from 20 to 125+ team members. Whilst the products that we build are global, the majority of the team sits in Melbourne at our Australian headquarters in the heart of the CBD where we have 2 amazing offices in the same building with all the bells and whistles you could ever want including an in-house barista, pool, and table tennis tables, PS5 and Nintendo Switches, a meditation room, help yourself drinks fridge and snack wall, catered breakfast daily, weekly massages and a pub lunch.

What you will do
We have an opportunity for a Reconciliations Officer to join our growing Finance department. The role will involve managing the group's banking accounts and payment service provider's and optimizing the cash efficiency and data management process. You will also be a key decision maker in the design, development and implementation of our inhouse payments platforms as we continue to streamline our current processes.

You will provide a professional, effective and high standard of service to stakeholders across the business and external suppliers and will be well versed in working in a fast-paced and dynamic environment where meticulous attention to detail is key.

Main Duties and Responsibilities:
Account setup and maintenance with the bank, exchange, card, remittances and payment service providers
Explore new payment solutions to support business needs across different jurisdiction
Reconcile all the account/psp transactions and prepare daily transaction reports
Manage the cash flow forecast and repatriate excess cash for use within the group
Implement good payment control frameworks across the group to ensure the integrity
Track the cash-in-transit or refunds to minimize discrepancies.
Sensitive to the FX market and suggest on currencies hedging
Coordinate the payment records in different PSPs and monitor the platform to boost data accuracy
Operate a robust cost accruals process to ensure that costs are correctly accrued within the time constraints of a fast-paced environment through automation where possible.
Standardize and automate where possible to improve month end timelines
Other ad-hoc projects include supporting onboarding and integration of further businesses as the group pursues inorganic growth opportunities.

Youre perfect for this role of
Advanced Excel, VBA, Power query or other data processing software skills
Demonstrated knowledge of bank payment processes;
Understanding SWIFT, SEPA or experienced with various payment service providers
Previous qualified experience in financial services preferably within a banking environment
Understand forex requirements and make recommendations to minimize our exposure
Good understanding of crypto, previous experience with exchange is looked upon favorably
Good understanding of payment processing, monitor or banking system is desired
An understanding of regulatory requirements related to banking and payment industry is desired
It would be a bonus if you also had (Desirable skills):
Sports & Gambling knowledge advantageous
Cryptocurrency knowledge would be advantageous
Proficient with Google Suite (Drive, Spreadsheets, Docs), Slack, Airtable & Intercom
