This position is for an 8 month fixed-term parental leave cover and is perfect for a experienced Duty Manager, Assistant Reservations Manager or Reservation Superior who can imagine themselves delving into their next opportunity to learn and grow, with potential for a future permanent position for the right candidate.
What you will be doing:

• Maximise all sales opportunities through a strong knowledge of the hotel and facilities
• Manage all facets of group accommodation bookings, maximising occupancy, rate and guest experience
• Monitor the quality of reservations, the statistical information provided and inter-departmental communications to ensure the effectiveness of the department
• Work closely with the Sales and Events teams to execute group arrivals and movements
• Handle guest enquiries in a courteous and effective manner, following through to ensure all issues are rectified to a high level of satisfaction
• Develop effective relationships with conference clients, PCOs, hotel suppliers and other properties
• Assist the Reservations Manager in leading the team to ensure yield strategies are implemented and targets are met.

Qualifications

• Demonstrated experience in a leadership role within a Reservations team
• Previous Group Reservations experience is highly desirable
• Strong communication skills, both verbal and written
• An enthusiastic approach, excellent attention to detail and superior customer service skills
• Opera or strong PMS experience is required.
