About the role

We are seeking dynamic person, with exceptional communication skills to join our Reservations Team, as our telecommunications first impression maker we seek a person with a warm and engaging manner accompanied with a service driven passion for hospitality.

Situated in our contact centre located at the Stamford Plaza Adelaide, this first line of inquiry position oversees the Adelaide cluster Hotels properties, Stamford Plaza Adelaide and Stamford Grand Adelaide. 

  • Administer general enquiries, offering rates, room types, taking as much information as possible, contact names and telephone numbers of all group enquiries. Disseminate this information to appropriate departments
  • Liaise with all departments to ensure that complete information concerning Groups is disseminated and issue final Group instructions. Notations on all groups to be added to PMS system
  • Maintain a working knowledge of revenue management principles as it applies to the hotel in general by attending revenue mgt and sales meetings in order to insure financial objectives of the property are met
  • Maintain records of Group bookings through Master Sheets and bookings/cancellation record books this includes Group Forecast reports
  • Contribute to the financial success of the hotels by working closely with Sales, Marketing, Conference and Events and Revenue Management teams
  • Responsible for all inbound and conferencing groups, ensuring all groups have a positive experience
  • Administer the operational and system processes for coordinating group arrival and departures
  • Provide ongoing communication between the client, the hotel and sales teams ensuring all operational standards are met including brand standards and overall guest satisfaction

Core requirements of your role

You will have extensive experience and skills in a similar position

  • Excellent communication skills (both written & verbal)
  • Ability to solve problems in a timely manner to the satisfaction of guests
  • Working knowledge of Opera and Delphi
  • Organised, self-motivated with attention to detail and the ability to prioritise tasks and meet deadlines
  • Experience in a similar hospitality environment is preferred
  • Solid understanding of the Groups and Tours industry in South Australia is advantageous.

About you

If you have experience or express an interest in a call centre reservations environment and have strong customer service drive, preferably in a Hotel environment then we’d appreciate hearing from you.

  • Strong knowledge of computer systems including Microsoft Office
  • Competent knowledge of OPERA PMS (desirable)
  • Fluent English, verbally & written
  • Experience providing prompt and efficient service, including upselling skills
  • Availability to work across a variety of shifts, including weekends and public holidays
  • Able to live and work unrestricted in Australia
