With several Flavorite sites located across Victoria, this role is based at our Tatura location which currently employs over 350 employees.
We are currently seeking a Lead Forklift Operator in a full-time capacity, to join our busy, growing, and collaborative team.
Reporting directly to the Senior Grower, the Growing Technician is responsible for assisting in the implementation and monitoring of growing strategies that ensures both maximum production levels and high quality crops / produce whilst meeting budget requirements.
This role will suit someone who is passionate about being successful and growing their skillset within an established business where you have potential to work your way up the career ladder.
This position is not the end position for this person. We are always working with our teams to develop and promote where we se determination and drive. We pride ourselves in supporting and promoting our people.
Key Accountabilities:
- Daily water checks, completed every morning and recording data results from this task
- Data Entry from climate program used within the Glasshouses
- Crop reviewing and monitoring including of drains and other resources used
- Mixing of fertilizer (this includes operating a Forklift to move resources)
- Testing of fruit to ensure it is meeting standards
- Meeting with stakeholders as required
- Weekly plant measuring and reporting
- Liaise with maintenance to ensure equipment is in good working order
- Assist with cleaning and housekeeping activities
- Ensure all records are on schedule, accurate and aligned with company process and procedure
- Records hours accurately
- Other duties as required
The successful candidate will have:
- Ideally have previous experience in Horticulture, Agriculture or have relevant crop exposure
- Strong problem solving skills
- Have a results driven approach
- High attention to detail
- Exceptional motivation, initiative and drive to grow within the position
- A forklift licence is desirable
- Chemical User certificate is highly advantageous but not required
