CCNI is currently seeking a Campus Coordinator/Trainee &Apprentice Coordinator for our Gunnedah Campus. If you have passion, drive and stronglinks to the community and industries, this position is for you!

Community College Northern Inland (CCNI) – is a Not ForProfit, approved VET provider, providing skills and training opportunities from7 campuses across the New England North West region.  We pride ourselves on being innovative andrelevant to the training needs of our regional and remote communities and workwith businesses large and small to create training opportunities to meet theirstaffing needs in areas of Community Service, Business, Engineering andIndustry.

The Campus Coordinator / Trainee & ApprenticeCoordinator is responsible to the Executive Officer for the running of thelocal campus and outreaches of Community College Northern Inland Inc., and tothe VET Manager to coordinate training and assessment of Apprentices andTrainees. They are required to research, plan and coordinate the delivery of arange of education and training courses for the local community.

The Campus Coordinator will;

  • Be the local “face” of the college.
  • Research and report adult community needs and organisecourses in response to the identified needs of people and businesses in thecommunity in order to plan and collate an education and vocational trainingprogram.
  • Build and maintain relationships with referral agencies andlocal businesses to be their RTO of choice for their clients and staff.
  • Organise courses and activities including; assisting withrecruitment of tutors, selecting times, dates and venues and arrange courseresourcing in line with ASQA and funding body requirements.
  • Provide front line customer service, administration ofstudent enrolments and classes using our 3rd party student managementsystem.  
  • Provide day to day management of the campus facilities andtraining resource requirements and external venue requirements
  • Provide day to day support to trainers, facilitators andvisiting staff
  • Provide student support and referrals
  • Meet ASQA and NSW DET standards and guidelines includingproviding reports
  • Organise & assist with enrolments and informationsessions for Apprentices and Trainees, monitor and support Apprentice &Trainee engagement, progression and completion, and liaise with industry and employersto attract & retain Apprentices & Trainees
  • Assist the VET Manager to schedule training and assessmentfor Apprentices & Trainees, and assist the Data & Systems Manager toenter and submit reporting on Apprentices & Trainees
  • Monitor and prepare content for the campus Facebook pages.Collate images, testimonials, course content and student outcomes for campusflyers and other media. Advertise events and courses as required.
  • Evening and weekend work can be expected and someflexibility around hours is required. The position will be based in the collegepremises. Some travel will also be required.

Essential Criteria:

  • Local community involvement, knowledge of the district communityor the ability to develop local networks and sustain partnerships
  • Excellent skills in Microsoft 365 or similar cloud systemincluding Word, Outlook and Excel
  • Demonstrated skills in business development and promotion
  • Excellent skills in email and file management
  • Experience using 3rd party software and apps such as studentmanagement systems, office software and social media platforms
  • Accurate data entry skills
  • Excellent planning skills with attention to detail andcustomer focus
  • Excellent written and verbal communication and customerservice skills
  • Driver’s license and access to a vehicle with comprehensiveinsurance
  • Ability to work independently with a minimum of supervision
  • Experience developing and leading a team of workers
  • Experience in a confidential environment and able to usegood judgement (common sense)
  • To be appointed to this role you must provide a currentworking with children check and national police clearance certificate 
Desirable Criteria:
  • Certificate IV Training and Assessment
  • Business or administration qualifications
  • Understanding and experience of the vocational education andtraining sector
  • Experience coordinating and / or delivering funded programs
