The JBS Dinmore Processing Plant is the largest beef facility in the southern hemisphere. Located near Ipswich in South East Queensland, the facility has a daily production ability of 3,400 cattle and employs approximately 1,500 people. Cattle are sourced from the finest cattle producing regions to produce a diverse range of pasture fed and grain beef products, from commodity to premium. The renowned AMH brand, the award-winning Yardstick, the highly marbled grain fed Pure Prime and our state's brand, Queenslander Beef and more are all produced at Dinmore.
About the Role
JBS Dinmore has an opportunity for an experienced or trainee Halal Slaughter Person. It is essential that you are a practicing Muslim. This role would suit a person that is hardworking, reliable, has positive work attitude and has a passion to deliver a high standard of quality product.
This is a full-time position, and is a fast-paced physical role with a focus on safety and quality.
Work schedule for 2024: Afternoon shift | Monday to Thursday | 3.00pm to 1.00am daily
About You

• Previous experience in Halal Slaughtering/Sticking (for Trainees, no experience is required)
• Accredited by recognised Islamic body (e.g. SICHMA) and AUS-MEAT
• Well-developed knife handling and technical skills, including knife sharpening
• Ability to maintain high standards of animal welfare
• Ability to adhere to Workplace Health & Safety and Quality procedures
• Ability to work within a team environment
• Good communications skills
• Demonstrated integrity and good presentation
• Professional work attitude
• Ability to work in a fast paced environment
• Superior attendance
• High focus and strong attention to detail
