Role
The operator will be a crucial part of our harvest team year-round, operating forklifts, telehandlers, and small tactors to support our berry farm operations by:
- Conducting daily prestart on all machinery operated, reporting any issues with maintenance or servicing via SafeAG safety application
- Loading and unloading delivery trucks with a forklift or telehandler
- Delivery berries from site to pack shed in preparation for dispatch
- Delivery packaging from pack shed to site as required for harvest crews
- Store berries and packaging in accordance with company policies and procedures
- AD hoc operating and farm tasks during low season will be required
- Operating experience including forklift, telehandlers, and small tractors
- Valid forklift license
- Experience in a busy dispatch/packing shed/warehouse environment
- Able to accurately keep written records
- Commitment to food safety, personal hygiene, and work health and safety practices
- Full time, year-round, secure employment. Approx 38 hours per week however reasonable additional hours will be expected during peak harvest times (November-May). MUST be available on weekends as rostered
- Salary circa $63,000 + Super
