Multiquip are seeking physically fit and hard-working individuals to join our team at the Maldon Hatchery, where you will play a crucial role in supporting the production division.
About You:
- Previous experience in a production-related role
- Effective communication skills, both internal and external
- Flexibility to commit to various shifts, including PM and night shifts
- Physical fitness and ability to handle labor-intensive tasks
- No pigs or birds allowed on your residential site
- Desirable: Poultry experience preferred but not mandatory, as training will be provided
Responsibilities: The successful candidate will be involved in various tasks within the hatchery, including but not limited to:
- Assessing and grading day-old chicks in compliance with Animal welfare codes of practice
- Counting and monitoring chick numbers
- Loading chick deliveries
- Cleaning and sanitizing the hatchery
- Handling day-old chicks and eggs
- Operating machinery
- Sanitizing and cleaning all onsite areas
- Manual loading/unloading of various machines
- Manual loading/unloading of the egg truck
Various roles may include:
- Hatchery Cleaner
- Hatchery Assistant (Transfer section)
- Hatchery Assistant (Egg Room)
- Chicken Production Assistant
