The Role
Reporting to the Visitor Information
Centre Lead and based in Richmond, this is a casual position, hours of work will vary from week to week and will include covering shifts for periods of leave and coverage in busy periods, as required. The purpose of the position is to assist in
the provision of Visitor Information to the general public and people of the
City of the Hawkesbury and to support Council’s strategic tourism activities.
About You
You will have experience working in a tourism role and will
demonstrate excellent interpersonal skills in dealing with internal and
external stakeholders and customers. You will be enthusiastic, motivated,
approachable and have experience working autonomously in a similar position.
Essential Criteria
- Certificate III in Tourism or equivalent
- Extensive experience in assisting the public
with their visitor experience - High level skills in using the internet,
online and print media for accurate information gathering - Experience using Microsoft Office suite
- Proven research and writing skills
- Experience in cash handling and basic
reconciliation procedures - Working with Children Check (WWCC) or willing
to obtain prior to employment - Availability to work 4 hours shifts throughout
the week
Desirable Experience
- Certificate IV Tourism
- First Aid certificate
- Experience and skills in desktop publishing
