Job description

  • Joining our team provides the platform for building a specialist career
  • You'll be mentored by industry experts at the top of their game
  • You'll learn to manage projects for our clients

We have multiple career opportunities on offer; excellent training & tools provided to learn how to manage a diverse range of field projects for our clients.

About the role

We have a busy project line up right across our national Workplace Health and Safety team and we're growing the team to keep up!

In this role, you'll join a team of expert Hazardous Materials & Occupational Hygiene consultants who work alongside environmental scientists & engineers, geologists & hydrogeologists, and remediation and waste management consultants who work together on a wide variety of projects.

You'll develop your current skills and knowledge in undertaking hazmat and occupational hygiene site inspections; gain exposure to how we engage with our clients and contractors and prepare technical reports. We'll also develop your skills in managing projects end-to-end.

And the projects you'll tackle? They're diverse, spanning sectors such as energy, defence, mining, oil & gas, public infrastructure, future energy and beyond!

We're all about leading with science and making sure our solutions fit each project in a bespoke manner. This work will provide you with a solid and expansive foundation for your technical career.

About you

To be successful in this role you'll need:

  • Qualifications in science(s) or relevant industry experience
  • Previous experience gained specifically in Hazardous Materials or Occupational Hygiene will be an advantage, as will an LAA License (or working towards licenced asbestos assessor status)
  • Australian Institute of Occupational Hygiene provisional membership (or working towards provisional status) will be an advantage
  • Ability to travel remotely and regionally as required
  • A full Australian driver's license
  • Work rights in Australia

We're all about teamwork, so if you're a great communicator with top-notch client skills and you're ready to share your knowledge and learn from others, then you'll fit right in. If you've got hazardous materials or occupational hygiene experience under your belt, then you're exactly what we are looking for!

What's in it for you?

An awesome team and a supportive environment where you can shine. We have the tools and training to help you reach your full potential, so get ready for some great personal and professional development!

You'll also enjoy these benefits:

  • We support you to make space for the other parts of your life - flexible work, study breaks and leave purchase plans enabling you to have up to 8 weeks of annual leave per year!
  • Opportunities to work across a wide variety of projects, clients and sectors
  • Professional development opportunities including external training courses, further education and coaching by our approachable technical experts and Certified Occupational Hygienists (COH)
  • Professional memberships
  • Reward and recognition program
  • Participation in company ownership through our employee stock purchase plan
  • Paid parental leave for primary and secondary care givers
  • Employee assistance program available to all staff and their immediate families
  • Multiple Employee Resource Groups that support employees to create collaborative, safe space teams with others who share diverse backgrounds and experiences
  • Travel discounts through our corporate traveller program
  • Novated vehicle leasing options
