Role Overview:
We are looking for a reliable and experienced Truck Driver (MC) who is proficient in operating scrap Tipper Trailers, Flat Top trailers, and road trains. In this vital role, you will be responsible for transporting scrap material from various project sites to the port, ensuring safe, efficient, and timely deliveries.
Key Responsibilities:
- Safely operate scrap Tipper Trailers, Flat Top trailers, and road trains, adhering to all safety and traffic laws.
- Transport scrap materials from project sites to designated port locations.
- Conduct pre-trip and post-trip vehicle inspections to ensure proper functioning and compliance with safety standards.
- Maintain accurate logs of travel and cargo according to federal and company regulations.
- Plan routes efficiently and manage schedules for timely deliveries.
- Collaborate with the operations team to optimize transport processes and resolve any issues that arise during transit.
- Participate in safety meetings and training to ensure up-to-date knowledge of industry regulations and practices.
Requirements:
- Valid commercial driving license MC Drivers Licence (Essential)
- Clean driving record.
- Proven experience operating scrap Tipper Trailers, Flat Top trailers, and road trains.
- Familiarity with the routes, regulations, and requirements for transporting materials to ports.
- Strong commitment to safety and ability to follow all safety procedures and regulations.
- Knowledge and understanding of Main Road Heavy vehicle legislation and permitting
- standards.
- Excellent time management and organizational skills.
- Ability to communicate effectively with team members and project managers.
- Physical fitness and ability to handle the demands of the role, including the loading and unloading of materials when necessary
