Full Job Description

Winyama Contracting Group (WCG) was formed to provide Civil, Mining, Crushing and Screening and Indigenous partnering opportunities to the West Australian market.

WCG delivers projects to Tier 1 Resource clients including Rio Tinto, Woodside Energy Limited. 
  
We are currently seeking an experienced HD Fitter to join our coastal team in Dampier. The successful candidate will enjoy a variety of work in a commercially stable environment.

Key Duties & Responsibilities: 

• Diagnostic fault finding on mechanical, hydraulic, electrical and air systems
• Major repairs and servicing of a variety of equipment including large CAT wheel loaders, 777 Dump trucks, bobcats, excavators and trucks
• Ensure equipment is maintained safely and timely to minimise cost and increase productivity
• Undertake necessary risk and pre-task assessments
• Technical guidance & support to operations personnel
• Effective management of documentation and reporting as per client and company requirements.  
• Service truck operations as required

Qualifications and Education Requirements:

• Trade Qualified as Heavy Duty Mechanic with 1+ years’ post trade experience
• Valid HR drivers License as a minimum
• Air con ticket highly regarded
• Forklift ticket highly regarded
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills
• Demonstrated ability to work safely
• Good time management and work prioritisation skills
• Able to work individually and in a team
