Part time, fixed term appointment until December 2025 (with potential for extension) – 0.5 FTE
Professional level 6 salary - $84,931 to $90,518 (pro rata)

Provide administrative support for Higher Degree by Research (HDR) students and supervisors for the Faculty of Health  

About the Position


As a Higher Degree by Research (HDR) and Research Administrator, you will provide professional administrative support to the Faculty research portfolio and HDR students, supervisors, and the Associate Dean of Research and Research Training. Delivering effective administrative services and guidance for Research and HDR students, covering their journey from admission to graduation you will ensure the smooth running of HDR and Research operations including the administration of HDR student’s financial and office space allocation, travel, research and office equipment and general administrative matters. 

About You


To be successful, you will require:

  • Completion of a business or administrative tertiary qualification with relevant experience or an equivalent combination of relevant knowledge, training, or expertise.
  • Demonstrated excellent interpersonal and communication with a solid record of forming positive working relationships and networks, and a demonstrated ability to communicate with a wide range of key stakeholders.
  • High level planning and organisational skills with the ability to prioritise and meet deadlines whilst working on several projects concurrently without compromising standards of service or quality.
  • Demonstrated excellent problem-solving ability through application of judgement and interpretation of policy, guidelines, procedures as well as relevant legislation and government policy framework.
  • Demonstrated high level administrative skills including proven ability to deliver quality customer service, contribute effectively to a team environment, and ability to learn new software systems, policies and processes in a timely manner.
  • Demonstrated experience in financial management.
  • Proven ability to work autonomously in a challenging environment utilizing problem-solving skills, initiative and discretion to achieve specific outcomes

Remuneration 


Appointment to this role will be at Professional level 6. The base salary will be in the range of $84,931 to $90,518 per annum (pro rata). The total remuneration package will be in the range of $99,369 to $105,906 (pro rata) per annum, including 17% superannuation.
