Head of Asset, Planning & Delivery

We are currently on the lookout for a Head of Assets, Planning and Delivery within our Water team who will be able to deliver on our mission of driving sustainable communities with the aim of reducing overall water consumption from the environment. What we do is pretty cool, we reduce the amount of water taken from nature and put it back in nature, getting more than a single use and thereby reducing our carbon footprint and greenhouse gas emissions.

To achieve this mission, the Head of APD will motivate, inspire and lead a team of highly skilled professionals in managing the operational maintenance planning and scheduling, capital works and long-term capital planning and forecasting. In addition, you will lead the interface from developers to ensure existing and new projects are fit for purpose, delivered on time and budget.

We are the only private water utility in Australia that has the end-to-end design, build, operation and customer retail of wastewater and recycled water services and because we’re a small team, we’re highly agile in our delivery to ensure commercial and sustainable outcomes.

Core Responsibilities 

• Have overall accountability for:
• capex budgeting, planning and delivery of any new schemes and / or extensions of existing schemes,
• opex budgeting for the maintenance plan and inventory requirements for our 7 LWCs
• Oversee project delivery and long-term planning processes and procedures for new systems and / or upgrades in line with our contracts.
• Prepare and support preparation of business cases, board papers, presentations and other company required business operations documents.

Skills & Experience 

You will have:

• either an Engineering degree in Mech, Civil or Electrical or associated experience
• broad project delivery or program management of utility assets, preferably with maintenance and / or asset engineering experience
• experience with Microsoft Dynamics 365 will be highly regarded
• the ability to think strategically, with commercial acumen, initiating and seeing projects through to completion.
