Your focus will be on leading our Claims teams as they provide exceptional support to our clients during the claims process.As the Head of Claims, you will be responsible for three main functions within the Claims division:
- Claims Advocacy: Provide claims advocacy services to ensure our clients receive the service and policy benefits they are entitled to in the event of a claim
- Claims Income: Generate revenue through claims preparation and related services
- Claims Administration for Self-Insured Clients: Manage claims for clients with unique self-insured or self-funded claims work
- Developing and implementing the endorsed claims strategy and operating model
- Leading the Claims function and supporting the Claims leadership team
- Driving a culture of collaboration, relationship building, and excellent client service
- Delivering continuous improvement and operational efficiency initiatives
- Managing the Claims function budgets and financial outcomes
- Monitoring insurer performance and managing any delivery issues
- Supporting our Asia broking operations in Claims advocacy and Claims Income activities
- Building and managing long-term relationships with external stakeholders
- Overseeing the Gallagher Claims Handling and Settlement Services Licence
- Assisting with large and complicated claims matters
- Keeping abreast of market and claims trends
- Developing Claims team members and succession plans
- Experience in a similar role within the Insurance or Financial Services industry
- Proven service offering development and implementation capability
- Operational management and senior leadership experience
- Strong understanding of insurance products and claims (both short and long tail)
- Ability to establish trust and effective relationships with a diverse range of individuals
- Related tertiary and/or industry qualifications desirable
