Address About the Role
The Head of Computer Vision is a key stakeholder of the Technical Development Division. The division is composed of diverse and interdisciplinary talent from Physics, Data Science, Biomedical Sciences, and Engineering backgrounds, working together to apply novel machine learning methods to generate biological insights from complex healthcare and genomic data.
Reporting to the Chief Technology Officer (CTO), the role is a mixture of Research Leader, Machine Learning Engineer, Data Scientist, and Solution Developer. To succeed in this role, the post holder will demonstrate leadership, independence, a keen eye for innovative technologies, ability to manage and develop complete Machine Learning and Computer Vision pipelines for different applications to support Concr’s platform and products, and the rest of the team in integrated, multi-disciplinary projects.
From training data procurement to model validation and results publication, the successful applicant will be expected to demonstrate the capacity to improve and advance the capabilities of the current systems and, therefore, add business value, through cutting-edge deep learning modelling.
You will have access to Concr’s secure environment and datasets to build scalable and creative solutions to help the company achieve technical validation of its proprietary algorithms in pre-clinical and clinical settings.
Qualifications
Skills and experience
? Deep knowledge of machine learning algorithms, model development, performance evaluation and tuning
? Strong background in:
? Data Structure
? Biological Image Analysis (H&E slides, IHC imaging, PET Scans, MRI, X-Rays etc.)
? Classical and Current Machine and Deep Learning
? Advanced knowledge and demonstrated experience with Unsupervised, Supervised,
and Semi-supervised Image Analysis Models
? Advanced knowledge and demonstrated experience with Transformers applied to Image Analysis
? Advanced Image Feature Extraction using Classic Computer Vision Methods but also Deep Learning
? Advanced Data Wrangling from Different Sources - SQL, XML, JSON, Etc.
? Advanced Numpy, Scipy, TensorFlow, PyTorch, JAX (desirable)
? Advanced Git and DVC experience
? Able to read and write code in different languages: Python, C++, C#.
? Experience with AWS - EC2, S3, etc
? Experience working with Linux & Bash
? Strong track record of academic publication in relevant peer-reviewed journals or conferences
? Good communication and interpersonal skills and the ability to operate in an ambiguous environment

Salary Offer: $79,200.00 + 10.5% super
