The Head of Distribution Enablement is a key support role on the Wealth Distribution Leadership Team and is responsible for supporting the implementation of the Wealth Distribution strategy.

The purpose of the role is to ensure the Wealth Distribution Team is setup for success in market from a sales capability perspective, to roll out change to the Wealth Distribution Team to drive penetration and growth from a product perspective, manage risk and compliance obligations within the team.

The role will also setup and lead newly expanded team of North Consultants whose role is to deliver best practice SME North Platform Training to foster stronger back-office relationships with key clients and manage transitions onto Platforms.

How you will make an impact

The Head of Distribution Enablement will be accountable for:
Sales capability

Providing specialist sales training skills to support the broader sales team to drive retention and growth
Understand, articulate, and embed end to end sales and advice knowledge to support the roll out and delivery of new products & solutions

Change management

Execute product and marketing initiatives to maximise growth and market penetration
Is the conduit between our clients and broader business
Contribute to the prioritisation of the product development roadmap to ensure client needs are met
Develops Wealth Distribution Team support material (in conjunction with Marketing where appropriate) for Key Wealth Distribution initiatives to support the team to take to market with Advisers
Works closely with marketing to support Events and drive sales campaigns
Is responsible for the Wealth Distribution Team review and sign off on product, Marketing, and sales collateral and communications, acting as the voice of client
Manages escalations and troubleshooting from Wealth Distribution Team and works with other teams to resolve issues
Produces regular and timely updates for the Wealth Distribution Team (currently via On Target)

Risk and compliance
Ensuring Wealth Distribution business frameworks and processes, both within the team and across various teams in wealth are continually improved to be best practice and compliant.

Working with the Wealth Distribution Leadership Team , first line risk management, Enterprise Risk management & Legal to:
Ensure Wealth Distribution understands its compliance obligations
Managing risk and compliance obligations through appropriate controls
Support the usage and maintenance of the Wealth Distribution Risk Profile
Establish processes and controls to manage compliance obligations to mitigate risk
Support incident management either by raising or taking ownership of Wealth Distribution incidents or supporting others to manage/raise incidents

Transformation and leadership of the North Consultant Team

The North Consultant team is an expansion of the Current North Training Consultant role. It will be responsible for transforming and leading the newly formed and expanded team to perform the following activities:

Building relationships with key clients back-office staff to drive retention
Be a part of the service value proposition and support the proposition that the Wealth Distribution Team is best in market
Support clients to drive back-office efficiencies and build best practice platform usage to support the advice process
Improve the quality of paperwork and knowledge of back-office staff to reduce rework within the North Service Centre and reduce calls
Manage transitions onto platform
What you will bring to the role

Experience required

10+ years’ experience in financial service industry
Previous sales or product role in Financial Services highly desirable
Ability to judge market opportunities and AMP’s competitiveness in those sectors
Evidence of adaptation to a rapidly changing environment
A strong understanding of the Financial Planning market including compliance

In addition to your technical skills, you should be able to demonstrate an excellent level of competency in the following:

High level of business and commercial acumen and strong business planning and execution skills
Sales leadership experience
Strong interpersonal skills and ability to work with multiple teams across multiple projects
People leadership and transformation experience/leading high performing teams
Change management skills and ability to work in a constantly changing environment
Exceptional written and verbal communication skills
Knowledge of financial services industry – Advice, Marketing, Distribution, Product and Operations
Resilient can-do attitude and a passion for best practice & driving change
