The opportunity
The purpose of this role is to assist in driving the growth and ongoing support of the MyNorth Managed Portfolio offer. The successful candidate will assist in end-to-end product management of the MyNorth Managed Portfolios from assessing new opportunities, understanding customer needs and developing and launching new products in market through to owning our reporting offer. The role has responsibility over calculating the common metrics to analyse portfolios (such as the different measures of investment performance, both absolute and relative), their formulation and appropriate use and assisting the team with data analysis to form insights and assist decision making, as well as in the development of reporting for the underlying investors (asset allocation and investment performance).
How you will make an impact
The Product Manager will be accountable for:
Actively contribute to our Managed Portfolio strategy
Lead key Managed Portfolio Product Development initiatives.
Lead Investment Manager quarterly and annual mandate reviews
Lead design and development of the functionality required to calculate and report portfolio metrics for Investment managers, financial planners, and the ultimate investor.
Support Managed Portfolio new business and tender activity including preparing RFI’s and tender responses.
Manage queries from users regarding MyNorth Managed Portfolios and the MyNorth Investment Menu
Provide input into product disclosure
Assist with the go to market activities when launching new managed portfolios
Contribute to presentations on our MyNorth Managed Portfolio offer to our investment managers and adviser groups
Continually look for opportunities to improve processes that help reduce cost to serve, and provide a more seamless experience for our customers.
What you will bring to the role
Experience required
Demonstrated experience in the Australian Wealth Management market (2+ years) across Platforms, investments, managed portfolios, and advice
Familiarity with and understanding of investment products and investment vehicles used by Australian investors. Preference for managed portfolios experience.
Strong customer focus and desire to continuously improve the customer experience
SQL and excel skills desired
Strong understanding of data, analytics, and reporting requirements
Understanding of the common metrics to analyse portfolios, such as the different measures of investment performance (both, absolute and relative), their formulation and appropriate use
Knowledge of technology development (development of requirements, UAT testing etc) desired Qualification/s required
Job Specific Capabilities Required
Product management, development experience and skills
Good understanding of the competitive market for investments offered by other Platforms
Proficiency in the use of Microsoft Office applications (and similar), particularly those used in data analysis.
Strong analytical and implementation skills.
