About the School:A Head of Faculty (PDHPE & Sports) is required within a vibrant, growing co-ed Islamic school in South-Western Sydney, The school has a strong reputation for its community focus, standards and achievements, emphasising academic excellence, pastoral care, and faith and cultural understanding. Key responsibilities include:Plan curriculum, taking into consideration the relevant NSW requirementsPromote the value and importance of the faculty amongst the school community.Continuously pursue a better understanding of the learning area, including developments in the academic discipline itself.Liaise with other faculties in the context of the School's curriculum as a whole to develop it.Manage and lead the faculty in ways that respect the professional experience and expertise of its members and their professional practice and learning.Create faculty strategies in line with the whole school vision and development.Support the ethos, philosophy and rules of the school.Requirements:Current NESA accreditation to teach in NSW & current NSW Working with Children CheckHave a passion for teaching the relevant subject area(s) and relevant teaching experience Have recognised Tertiary Educational QualificationsBe able to demonstrate a commitment to ongoing professional developmentWhat's in it for you?The school offers competitive remuneration and a strong focus on professional growth and development including Teacher Accreditation support.
