AddressWe are looking for a Head of Grid Solutions Australia (Pacific) to join our team and work with us at the central point of one of the focus growth country within Grid Technologies Asia Pacific, spearheading the implementation of the energy transition. You will report to the Vice President, Grid Solutions Asia Pacific & China.
A Snapshot of Your Day
In this highly visible and dynamic role, you will lead the Grid Solutions Australia team. Together with your team, your responsibilities include achieving business targets with focus on profitable growth, improve market exploitation and increase market share. Additionally, you will actively contribute to Grid Technology growth strategy and play a key role in developing and implementing country sales strategy by coordinating / aligning with and across different Execution Units, and Functions of Grid Technologies as well as with GT Asia Pacific Regional Management team, SE Australia Country Management and Hub Sales.
How You’ll Make an Impact
- Develop and lead business opportunities for HVDC, FACTS, Offshore Wind Systems and Substations by analyzing customer investments in Australian (Pacific) market.
- Position the business as a strategic partner with major customers developing customer loyalty and satisfaction.
- Instigate and manage business development activities, fully understanding competitor positions and strategy to develop and maintain market share, identifying business needs, market potential and innovative strategies for long-term success.
- Define, develop and ensure implementation of Global & Regional growth strategy for Grid Solutions in Australia (Pacific) in order to increase top and bottom-line targets.
- Ensure effective operational setup capitalizing synergies in collaboration within Grid Technology execution units and across Siemens Energy Business Areas.
- Lead and develop the workforce, ensuring maximum productivity and effectiveness. Enable a high-performance culture of business excellence and continuous improvement, with motivated employees and retention of key staff.
- Demonstrate a ‘safety first’ approach and live the Zero Harm culture: thinking & working safely, in line with organization & regulatory requirements.
What You Bring
- Master or equivalent experience in Engineering or Business Administration.
- Technical knowledge and business operation experience / knowledge of common technologies related to Grid Solutions such as HVDC, FACTS, Offshore Wind Systems, Substations,
- Proven experience of at least 10 years in business management, project management, consulting, finance, marketing, or sales.
- Leadership experience and proven track record in people management
- Proven capabilities in driving change and building sustainable teams
- Outstanding stakeholder management skills at all organizational levels.
- Strong set of personal skills that support building a network, developing people, culture and organization combined with proactiveness, innovation and partnership.
- Eagerness to consistently meet and exceed commitments/ objectives while taking ownership of complex challenges.
- Excellent business insight and a solid entrepreneurial, hands-on profile
