Mauri, a business unit of GWF, is passionate about all things made with high quality bakery ingredients and Animal Feed. We are a leading industry supplier in Australia and New Zealand and align closely with our customers to create products and develop solutions that help their business' grow. Mauri has 3 distinct business units: Australian Bakery Ingredients; New Zealand Bakery Ingredients; and Weston Animal Nutrition.

Mauri is currently seeking applications for a Head of HSEbased at our Head Office in Enfield. Reporting to the Operations Director, this critical role will oversee the HSE strategy across our Mauri business in Australia and New Zealand, achieving high safety standards, implementing best practice risk management initiatives, and fostering a robust safety culture. Key requirements of the role include:

  • Develop and implement Mauri's safety behavioural change program.
  • Ensure HSE technical compliance with regulations and standards.
  • Collect and manage environmental data and KPIs.
  • Oversee the i CARE injury management program.
  • Timely and accurate reporting of HSE performance.
  • Lead Mauri's HSE team, driving engagement and growth.
  • Champion safety initiatives to industry best practice levels.
  • Align with GWF HSE strategic plans and company vision.

The successful candidate will have a degree in Occupational Health & Safety or a related field, complemented by at least 10 years of progressive experience in leadership roles within HSE. Your background should demonstrate expertise in environmental management, regulatory compliance, and implementing safety programs. Strong leadership capabilities are essential, along with proven skills in stakeholder engagement, effective communication, and change management. The ideal candidate will have a track record of driving a safety-first culture, fostering continuous improvement, and aligning organizational goals with industry best practices.
