The Head of Offshore Airports is responsible for setting the strategic direction and management of operational performance, customer delivery, financial performance, safety, governance and assurance for Qantas Offshore Airports. This role will develop, communicate and implement strategies that ensure a consistent and cost-effective customer experience, driving competitive advantage and continuous improvement across the portfolio.
This role will be accountable for investigation and audit actions, acting as an escalation point for all offshore regulatory issues. It is also accountable for supplier sourcing, selection and management, as well as the achievement of operational and customer performance KPI’s.
You’ll have –
  • Operational and managerial experience at a senior level, in a large, complex service environment
  • An understanding of Aviation legislation requirements as they pertain to Qantas
  • An ability to ensure the implementation of robust corporate processes and procedures that ensure Airport compliance
  • Understanding of, and experience in change management processes on a local level
  • Proven ability to communicate and negotiate effectively with all levels of government, service providers, managers and staff
  • Extensive and thorough knowledge of CASA regulations and a demonstrated understanding of current regulatory and industry issues
  • Ability to develop and implement tactical plans, working within a complex and dynamic operations environment
  • Sound analytical aptitude, problem solving skills and data management
