About Anika Legal
Why we exist:
At Anika Legal, we believe everyone deserves a safe and secure home.
Each year, over 4 million Australians cannot access the legal assistance they need. For renters, this can mean illegal eviction, unfair rent increases, or living in a home so unsafe it’s dangerous.
There is also an unmet need for practical legal training. Each year, thousands of law students miss out on practical legal training opportunities, even though they are eager to develop their practical skills.
What we do:
We provide free, online legal assistance to renters to help them maintain safe housing.
We are a registered charity and social enterprise that envisions a world where everyone can access justice. We provide free legal support to the community through an online platform, which is supported by law students seeking practical legal experience, and funded through paid university programs.
