This opportunity
The role will lead a small team to create a pragmatic Procurement Policy and Framework, lead delivery of Procurement system capabilities and tools, optimise the end to end Procurement process, through simplification, automation and creating value as well as managing all Procurement operational activities including reporting, insights, governance and compliance.
Reporting to the General Manager of Procurement, the successful candidate will be responsible to drive Procurement Excellence across TPG Telecom.
Responsibilities

  • Support development of the strategic direction for Procurement as a key member of the Procurement Leadership Team.
  • Develop a program of work to Uplift TPG's Procurement capabilities.
  • Define and deploy TPG's Procurement Source to Contract Framework with standardised tools and templates.
  • Develop and deliver a category management program, implementing category focussed procurement strategies to create value and improve efficiencies.
  • Design a Supplier Relationship Management program to manage suppliers performance and deploy in collaboration with the wider Procurement team and business stakeholders.
  • Uplift Procurement Governance and Compliance in Sourcing, Contract and Vendor Management.
  • Develop a Procurement Performance and Value Creation framework and reporting suite.
  • Lead the design and deployment of the procurement systems strategy and roadmap.
  • Work collaboratively with Heads of Procurement and category managers, business stakeholders and suppliers to design and deliver Procurements sustainability priorities.
  • Manage and simplify Procurements operational activities.
  • Promote and support a culture of compliance, risk avoidance/mitigation and corporate accountability at various levels of the non-trade procurement landscape.
Knowledge and experience
  • Experience in a large enterprise with a focus on procurement, sourcing and supplier management.
  • Have successfully developed agile, pragmatic Procurement policies, processes and frameworks
  • Have led successful Procurement transformation programs with the ability to articulate and demonstrate value Procurement can create.
  • Extensive understanding of end-to-end supplier lifecycle processes including supplier risk assessment and onboarding, ongoing due diligence and supplier offboarding.
  • Working knowledge of Coupa, Ariba or other procurement systems is highly desirable.
  • Excellent leadership and people management skills, with the ability to coach and develop a team.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build relationships with internal and external stakeholders.
  • Experience with procurement technology and tools.
  • Knowledge of regulatory requirements and best practices in procurement.
