As the Head of Procurement Partnering you will play a key role in ensuring ANZ’s procurement spend is strategically leveraged in the New Zealand and global market to drive value for the business. As an experienced, strategically minded commercial leader you will work closely with the Global Procurement Leadership team led by the Group General Manager of Procurement, and inspire, lead and manage a globally dispersed team leveraging your strong interpersonal and influencing skills to help build trusted relationships with key business stakeholders and strategic suppliers.
Other key accountabilities in this role will include:
Operating as a strategic business partner and relationship manager supporting the NZ business and ensuring strong integration of New Zealand Procurement with Group Procurement
Support, influence and contribute to the overall strategic direction and operational performance of the NZ & wider Group Procurement function whilst leveraging the Group Operating model
Provide commercial guidance and oversight for strategic sourcing, negotiation strategies, and contract award recommendations
Develop and manage the delivery of the sourcing pipeline, working with relevant business unit stakeholders to align on prioritised sourcing plans, and manage teams to deliver annual savings targets and other key operational metrics and spend hygiene
Ensure integrity with compliance obligations and actively manage and simplify risks for ANZ NZ (including NZ’s outsourcing/BS11 obligations)
Provide local leadership to the NZ and Pacific Procurement teams to support people development, build a culture of customer centricity and teaming across the Group

To grow and be successful in this role, you will ideally bring the following:
Substantive experience in a Category Management leadership role, managing a highly diverse group of categories and associated contracts especially in Technology, Property, and Professional Services
Credibility as leader for effectively influencing and working with a diverse range of internal and external stakeholders while meeting regulatory and compliance standards
Demonstrated commercial thinking gained from hands on experience in commercial strategy and negotiations
A deep understanding of end to end procurement lifecycle management across Strategy, Source to Contract, Supplier Relationship Management through to Req. to Pay and will have demonstrated ability to manage change and change adoption from improvement related programs.
A proven track record in creating high performing teams who have delivered strong results and developed a culture of learning and continuous improvement
Previous experience working in a senior leadership capacity managing complex change and overseeing the performance of multi-jurisdictional teams
