Position Summary
As the Head of Quality, you will be responsible for overseeing all aspects of Incat’s management systems to ensure project quality and vessel build specifications are effectively executed. This role will lead Incat's Quality team in developing and implementing the Incat Integrated Management System. We are looking for a motivated leader with experience in implementing quality systems across all areas of business. This is an excellent opportunity to drive quality at Incat as we deliver more zero emission vessels to the world.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead and manage the Quality function at Incat.
- Review and assess quality management systems and identify improvements.
- Ensure project quality and vessel build specification requirements are documented and recorded throughout the shipyard and at all stages of vessel construction.
- Lead and manage all build specification activities including: audits, inspections, surveys, sea trials and commissioning.
- Where required plan and implement best practice quality systems across the company
- Lead and manage the development of vessel-specific documentation such as craft operating manuals, crew training manuals, planned maintenance systems, construction procedures, and other documents required for vessel construction and operation
- Apply quality management principles in the development, review and application of management system/project documentation
- Ensure quality procedures are consistently implemented and adhered to, and that Incat quality standards are maintained at all times.
Essential Skills and Attributes
- Capacity to build and maintain strong relationships with strategic vendors and partners
- Proven effective written and oral communication skills
- Proven ability to work in a team environment developing effective working relationships and partnering with team members
- Strong analytical skills and attention to detail
Qualifications and Experience
- Professionally qualified with at least 5 years experience leading quality teams within a manufacturing environment
- Demonstrated Experience implementing and/or managing Quality Management Systems to ISO9001:2015
- A clear understanding of how quality is strategically important to a business
- Able to motivate, mentor and inspire people to improve product quality
