Detailed Job Description
The Head of Sourcing and Attraction is responsible for the creation, implementation and delivery of Defence Force Recruiting’s Sourcing and Attraction strategy. This role is responsible for leading high performing functions across Data, Research and Insights, Digital, CX and Social Media, Brand Marketing, Communications and Media, and Partnerships Management to deliver exceptional Sourcing and Attraction solutions and achieve success for DFR.

You will:

  • Create, implement, and deliver a national Sourcing and Attraction strategy to enable success for Adecco, the Commonwealth and DFR.
  • Oversee the development, implementation and delivery of all national Sourcing and Attraction strategies and activities.
  • Inform and guide the approval of these strategies through the Department of Defence to achieve Government approval.
  • Lead a high performing Sourcing and Attraction team, focussed on exceptional solutions and outcomes for Adecco and the ADF.
  • Partner strategically and work closely with ADF key senior stakeholders to deliver success for DFR.
  • Collaborate with Head of functions across Adecco DFR, particularly the Head of Recruiting Operations, to ensure alignment in priorities, strategy and delivery.
  • Maintain a deep understanding of current and future recruiting priorities of the Australian Defence Force to ensure Sourcing and Attraction’s strategy and planning aligns.
  • Develop and plan annual Sourcing and Attraction objectives, aligned with the national recruiting strategy and Sourcing and Attraction strategy.
  • Manage all contracts with external partners, including advertising, media and research agencies.
  • Oversee and approve development of agency briefs for all suppliers across Sourcing and Attraction.
  • Provide accurate and detailed reporting on Sourcing and Attraction spend, results and impact, to key stakeholders across Adecco and the ADF.
  • Take ownership of the Adecco DFR Sourcing and Attraction P&L, ensuring profitability, revenue, head count management and performance expectations are met.
  • Lead from the front in building a strong and connected relationship across all DFR stakeholders: Adecco, ADF, subcontractors, partners and suppliers, contributing to the success of “One Team”.
  • Maintain deep industry knowledge, staying abreast of Sourcing and Attraction trends and new developments, leveraging opportunities for innovation and change across the function, wherever possible.
  • Share industry and leadership expertise with Adecco DFR executive leaders, managers, and the Commonwealth.
Develop, manage, and maintain a high service level client relationship through the provision of services that meet or exceed the expectations of Defence and the DFR Adecco contract, further encouraging a strong and ongoing relationship between Adecco and the Commonwealth of Australia.

  • Demonstrated ability to drive brand marketing initiatives to attract top talent
  • Excellent communication and media management skills
  • Experience in fostering and managing partnerships to enhance recruitment efforts
