About the Opportunity

Reporting to the GM, Capability Development, the Head of Supply Chain is accountable for leading the definition and execution of the Supply Chain strategy and plans to maximise sovereignty and deliver optimal program outcomes.

Working with the broader SSN AUKUS leadership team, this position requires consideration of a wide range of long-term issues, opportunities, and risks to establish an agreed Supply Chain strategy that will deliver the best outcomes for the program.

The Head of Supply Chain will oversee direct reports across areas including Supply Lead, Procurement Lead, and Inventory Lead, providing leadership to team members, ensuring they are given direction and attainable yet challenging performance targets.


Responsibilities

  • Develop and lead the execution of the Supply Chain strategy to meet program outcomes.
  • Establish robust relationships with internal and external stakeholders' t to execute relevant work scopes.
  • Provide leadership to team members, including the Supply Lead, Procurement Lead and Inventory Lead, setting direction and performance targets.


About You

  • Tertiary qualifications in Supply Chain, Commerce, or Program Management
  • Minimum of 12 years’ relevant experience with a strong emphasis on Supply Chain strategies within a complex multi-partner program.
  • Experience within a maritime design, build, and sustainment process.
  • Proven ability to develop high-level strategies and translate them into operational plans.
  • Experience in developing and implementing strategic Supply Chain or procurement programs.
  • Strong understanding of project strategy creation and alignment with organisational goals.
  • Ability to build credibility and influence external stakeholders from diverse cultural backgrounds.
  • Proficiency in building credibility and influencing external and/or international stakeholders, including government entities.
  • Proven experience leading high-performing teams in complex environments.


Eligibility

This role requires a current National Police Clearance, an Australian Defence Security Clearance and an ability to access protected US defence technology. Your eligibility for this role is dependent on you obtaining and maintaining such clearances and approvals.

Whilst ASC will accept all applications for this role, as this role requires an ability to access protected US defence technology, applicants holding nationality of certain foreign countries will not be eligible.
