ASC is Australia's submarine company. We built the Royal Australian Navy's Collins Class submarines, sustain them, and are now delivering their Life of Type Extension to increase the boats' service lives. As our Head of Technical Governance and Assurance you will contribute to ensuring Technical Governance and quality assurance guardrails across the whole organisation including product, facilities, work health safety and environment, nuclear, and technical safety.ResponsibilitiesReporting to the GM Governance and Assurance, you will work closely with the Head of Nuclear Governance and Assurance. You will be accountable for Establishing and maintaining technical systems of work (e.g., for engineering, SC management) and providing Engineering Assurance services to the Enterprise. Key dependencies of this role include government, regulator and technical regulations and compliance requirements.About youTo be successful as our Head of Technical Governance and Assurance you will have:

  • Tertiary qualification in Law, Engineering, or a related discipline.
  • Minimum 5 years' experience in a Senior Technical Governance/Assurance role.
  • Strong Communication skills and Stakeholder management skills.
  • Knowledge of Technical systems of work, quality assurance standards, and change management processes.
  • Post Graduate Qualifications are highly desirable.
  • Experience in Defence/Shipbuilding industry is highly desirable.
EligibilityThis role requires a current National Police Clearance and an Australian Defence Security Clearance.
