About the Opportunity

Reporting to ASC’s Program Management Director SSN AUKUS, the Head of Transfer of Technology (ToT) will play a crucial role in defining and executing the transfer of Technology strategy for the program.

The Head of ToT will provide leadership to team members, offering direction across areas such as strategy/framework development, implementation plan execution and ToT Training, as well as setting challenging yet attainable performance targets for direct reports.

The role will require the incumbent to build robust relationships with internal and external stakeholders to address a wide range of long-term issues, opportunities, and risks to establish a ToT strategy that ensures the best outcomes for the program and relevant work scopes effectively.


Responsibilities

  • Lead the definition and execution of transfer of Technology strategies and plans.
  • Establish and maintain strong relationships with internal and external stakeholders
  • Collaborate with the SSN AUKUS leadership team to align the ToT strategy with program goals.
  • Manage direct reports in areas such as ToT strategy/frameworks development, implementation plans execution, and ToT training.
  • Address long-term issues, opportunities, and risks to ensure successful ToT strategy implementation.


Essential Qualifications, Skills and Experience

  • Tertiary qualifications in Engineering or Program Management.
  • Minimum of 12 years’ relevant experience with a strong emphasis on Transfer of Technology within a complex international program.
  • Experience in maritime design, build, and sustainment processes.
  • Proven ability to develop high-level strategies and translate them into operational plans.
  • Experience in developing and implementing a Transfer of Technology program.
  • Strong understanding of project strategy creation and alignment with organisational goals.
  • Ability to build credibility and influence external stakeholders from diverse cultural backgrounds.
  • Highly developed writing skills, excellent time management, and organisational skills.
  • Proficiency in influencing external and international stakeholders, including government entities.
  • Demonstrated ability to identify and implement solutions to complex problems.
  • Proven leadership skills in managing high-performing teams in complex environments.


Eligibility

This role requires a current National Police Clearance, an Australian Defence Security Clearance and an ability to access protected US defence technology. Your eligibility for this role is dependent on you obtaining and maintaining such clearances and approvals.

Whilst ASC will accept all applications for this role, as this role requires an ability to access protected US defence technology, applicants holding nationality of certain foreign countries will not be eligible.
