About the role

We are looking for a head Pastry Chef to join our busy kitchen!  

Responsibilities include ensuring desserts and pastry items are prepared according to specification, hygiene and safety protocols are adhered to at all times, and service is executed to the highest standard every time. 

Working on a mix of high tea (sweet and savoury) and high end ala carte meals - with the occasional event and/or client tasting evening thrown in - you will get to enjoy real variety.

Skills and experience

Essential Criteria 

  • Minimum 2 years experience in a similar position
  • Dynamic and enthusiastic personality 
  • Ability to create and develop seasonal menu's in alliance  with the executive chef 
  • Excellent communication with the  ability to work with and manage a team 
  • Ability to remain calm and focused in fast-paced, high-intensity, constantly evolving environment
  • Knowledge of hygiene and safety standards 
  • Passion for patisserie with a genuine love of hospitality
