Form of workWe’re recruiting a HEAD PIZZAIOLO that has serious passion and grit to work alongside our high profile, hatted Australian Group Executive Chef and a talented team of hospitality leaders.
Menus are based on the best seasonal produce the region has to offer. Taking charge as the Head Pizzaiolo, you'll command a pristine Marana Forni pizza oven in a brand new kitchen, overseeing the pizza section's entire operation.
This encompasses menu innovation, section management, inventory coordination, ingredient preparation, quality assurance, stock rotation, team instruction, and task delegation. We are looking for a Pizza Chef who brings a solutions-focused attitude to the venue every day. You have a critical eye, are hungry to succeed and proactively seek ways to continuously improve the product and operations. This is an exciting role for the right applicant.
The successful applicant will:
● Have 4+ years experience in skilful hand-stretching of pizza dough, dough production and dough management
● Operate and maintain the wood-fired oven, including managing the fire and maintaining the appropriate temperature
● Consistent production of high-quality pizzas and flatbreads
● Previous record of thriving in high-paced kitchen environments
● Familiarity with different pizza styles and toppings, along with the ability to create unique and innovative recipes
● Be creative, confident and obsessed with quality and presentation
● Collaborate, inspire and create
● Lead by example. Have excellent management skills and enjoy mentoring the next generation of hospitality professionals
● Have experience in costed rostering and stock control
● Be guest orientated. Their experience with us is our No.1 priority
● Have excellent communication, organisation and time management and work well under pressure
