Your Opportunity:

• Support and abide with the Pier One Sydney Harbor Hotel LSOP’s.
• Manage the daily kitchen utility operations and staff.
• Areas of responsibilities include dish room operation, night cleaning, back dock cleaning and maintenance, banquet plating and food running.
• Supervises kitchen employees not actively engaged in cooking (eg. Dishwashers, kitchen helpers, etc.)
• Ensures all events’ set ups such as Buffets, food stations, live cooking stations etc are set up in a timely manner up to the standard set buy the Chefs/F&B leadership
• Strives to continually improve guests and employee satisfaction while maintaining the operating budget
• Use proper equipment, wear appropriate personal protective clothing (PPE) and employ correct lifting procedures, as necessary, to avoid injury.

Skills, Education and Experience:

• A genuinely warm & welcoming demeanor.
• Strong verbal and written communication skills with the ability to adapt and work well under pressure.
• Display a growth mindset and display initiative.
• You are reliable and flexible with the ability to work various shifts.
• 2+ years of experience in food & beverage, culinary, or related professional area.
