Part-time (16hrs p/forntight)

Fixed-term position (June 2026)

About the role:

We are currently seeking a part time Youth Access Worker to join our team at headspace Emerald. Our Youth Access Worker will be responsible for conducting the initial screening using the headspace psychosocial assessments for young people and presenting it to our multi-disciplinary team. Reporting to the Clinical Coordinator, the role will also be responsible for coordinating care and attending ongoing Care Coordination Review Meetings for young people that are referred to Emerald headspace.

What will a typical day look like?

  • Monitor and conduct young people’s focused psychosocial assessments on all headspace Emerald young people to ascertain social, emotional, and mental health needs.
  • Deliver evidence based brief interventions, including group interventions and problem solving, with young people and their families.
  • Provide an inclusive practice that values the significance of family and friends.
  • Attend and contribute to regular Care Coordination Review Meetings as directed by the Clinical Coordinator
  • Develop, maintain, and monitor a young person’s records and comply with data collection standards, including minimum data set (MDS)
  • Provide reception assistance as needed.

Mandatory Requirements:

  • Full COVID-19 Vaccination
  • Approved tertiary level qualification in social work, mental health, psychology, occupation therapy, and/or relevant discipline.
  • Ability to obtain a Blue Card (working with children check positive notice or exemption)
  • Ability to obtain a Yellow Card (disability services positive notice or exemption notice)
