Here's how a(n) Health and Safety Supervisor for our Solar Australia office contributes to our team:
Responsibilities
-Implements and supports project HSE plans, regulatory requirements, and other safe work practices. 
-Identifies, evaluates, develops and delivers project specific HSE training. 
-Implements district HSE communication strategies on projects. 
-Recognizes, evaluates, and advises on hazard identification. 
-Leads and conducts project HSE inspections and monitors the quality and effectiveness of inspections and trade safety plans. 
-Develops and evaluates efficiency of the project emergency response plan, site-specific security requirements and the environmental plan.  
-Monitors and audits trade contractor HSE performance. 
-Participates in on-site investigative processes and evaluating corrective actions taken. 
-Develops and maintains positive relationships with all stakeholders. 
-Coaches, trains and mentors HSE Coordinators and other employees.
Qualifications
-Bachelor’s degree or diploma in Occupational Health and Safety or a related field. 
-Holds safety designation. 
-5 years’ experience in a Health and Safety role in a related industry. Previous experience in a supervisory role an asset. 
-Solid understanding of applicable OH&S and environmental legislation and HSE processes. 
-Conflict resolution skills, with the ability to problem-solve. 
-Strong verbal and written communication and presentation skills. 
-Ability to develop, influence, and maintain effective stakeholder relationships. 
-Strong working knowledge of construction processes and terminology. 
-Solid understanding of Microsoft Office Suite with a strong aptitude for adopting new technology.
