The Role
Key to the role is the ability to use existing industry knowledge and contacts to get this function up and running for members and guests to use immediately once the centre opens, and in such a way as to make their experience positive and ensure they want to keep coming back.
Your Mission Should You Choose to Accept It
- Driving fitness key performance indicators including member retention and reduced attrition
- Contribute to the centre’s strategic direction, continuous improvement and leadership
- Plan and develop a range of high quality, appropriate and desirable health and fitness programs for the community, including those for targeted groups e.g. people with a disability and members aged over 55
- Develop a strong working relationships with members and other health care providers
- Lead the centre’s fitness team, and provide supervision and on-the-job training
- Working with team members to continually evaluate, review and modify existing programs
- Conduct regular team meetings, and fostering the development of ideas for new fitness programs and initiatives
- Ensuring colleagues across the centre, and at other sites are aware of fitness offerings and able to cross-sell them as required.
