Opportunity Available

Join our team as a qualified Health Club Manager at The Aquadome, located in Elizabeth in Adelaide. If you are passionate about inspiring community activity we want to hear from you!

About the role

In the role of Health Club Manager, you'll be at the forefront of shaping and delivering our health and fitness programs. Reporting to regional management and supported by our dedicated site support team, your mission is to inspire our members to lead healthier, more active lives. Your role involves delivering a variety of programs, services and initiatives, ensuring they align with our annual business plan, service standards and expectations.

Responsibilities:

  • Lead the Way: Drive the direction of the Health Club
  • Supportive Leadership: Foster teamwork, innovation, openness and participation.
  • Operational Excellence: manage the Health Club operations and ensure adherence to our customer service charter.
  • Staff Development: Mentor and develop the skills of our health and fitness staff.
  • Growth Strategy: Collaborate with our Chief Experience Officer and National Health Club Manager to develop and implement a fitness growth strategy that enhances quality, programming, retention and participation at the Health Club
  • Performance Management: Contribute to BlueFit's FOCUS site based performance management system.
  • Quality Assurance & Safety First: Ensure the health and fitness environment complies with quality, cleanliness, and regulatory work health and safety and risk management standards.
  • Effective Time Management: Efficiently plan, organise and manage your time, as well as the wider staff team to meet targets within specified deadlines.

We are looking for someone who has:

  • Excellent oral communication skills to effectively develop a professional and friendly rapport with customers and staff.
  • Great attention to detail
  • Prior operational experience and knowledge of health and fitness programming.
  • Outstanding interpersonal, leadership and management skills to grow our team members in promoting the BlueFit way.
  • The ability to demonstrate great drive, growth, ambition and customer experience.
  • A positive attitude in order to be able to encourage an optimistic and great cultured working environment providing opportunities for all staff.
  • Excellent written communication skills to effectively prepare and develop reports and other documentation. 

Relevant Qualifications:

We require you to hold and maintain the following qualifications, licenses and clearances: 

  • Current First Aid and CPR Certificates
  • Certificate IV in Fitness or above
  • Working with Children Check
  • AUSactive/Fitness Australia Registration
  • Diploma in Fitness or relevant degree level qualification
  • Qualifications in Group Fitness and Training highly regarded
  • Certificate IV in Training and Assessment highly regarded
  • Experience with MyWellness Suite and MyWellness for Professionals highly regarded
