Boandik is seeking a skilled and motivated Health, Safety and Wellbeing Officer to join the team on a permanent part-time or full-time basis (to be negotiated with the successful candidate).

Key Responsibilities:
- Assisting in the development, implementation, and maintenance of OHS policies and procedures.
- Conducting regular safety inspections and risk assessments, identifying hazards and recommending solutions.
- Collaborating with various departments to ensure OHS compliance and providing guidance on safe work practices.
- Assisting with incident investigations and preparing reports.
- Conducting safety training and awareness programs for employees.
- Keeping up to date with relevant OHS legislation and regulations.
- Assisting in the development of emergency response and evacuation plans.
- Supporting OHS initiatives and projects as directed.
Qualifications and Experience:
- A Tertiary qualification in WHS or related field and/or commensurate demonstrated experience in lieu of formal qualifications.
- Sound knowledge and understanding of safety legislation including worker’s compensation legislation.
- Comprehensive knowledge of the Occupational Health, Safety and Welfare Act, Regulations and Codes of Practice.
- Demonstrated experience in leading and or conducting safety audits and investigations.
- Return to Work Coordinator Certificate or willingness to complete training upon commencement.
- Strong communication skills and the ability to work collaboratively with diverse teams.
- Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
