We provide aged care, acute and allied health services on a primary care model that meets our communities’ health needs across the lifespan. Your role would typically include:
The Health System Navigator plays a crucial role in empowering, engaging, organising, advocating and supporting individuals and families from Culturally and Linguistically Diverse (CALD) backgrounds, within the Robinvale catchment, in order to have a culturally safe and effective experience with health services.
The Health System Navigator will be an individual who is really eager to make a difference in health outcomes for clients of the Culturally and Linguistically Diverse (CALD) community in Robinvale. Responsibilities will include: Assisting to address any health disparities, improving client engagement, supporting interpreting needs, and the coordination of CALD individuals and families to access necessary health provider care.
The position will report to the Social Work team and support individuals accessing Public Health services as well as other health services in the region e.g. a General Practitioner (GP) service. The role will also receive support from Sunraysia Mallee Ethnic Communities Council (SMECC).
The position is a temporary part time position, 3-day per week, until 29th June 2025.

Job Requirements:
- Completion of Year 12 education or overseas equivalent
- Connected to a ethnicity within the Culturally and Linguistically Diverse (CALD) community
- Able to fluently speak a second language other than English, commonly spoken within the CALD community
- Clear police and Working with Children’s check
- Mandatory proof Covid-19 and influenza vaccination
- Applicants require a current Working Rights Visa status or Permanent Residency.
